Bradford – More than 1,000 delegates from all over the county will descend on Bradford on Thursday (Oct 29) to attend the 2015 Bradford Business Conference.
It will be held in the new multi-million pound David Hockney building of Bradford College and the theme is “Bradford Now”.
The conference, with Bradford Council as a partner, focusses on Bradford’s renaissance highlighting the investment in the city over the last 12 months.
Bradford Council leader Cllr David Green, said: “Much of that investment has been sparked and underpinned by the council’s £35m City Centre Growth Zone. Around 170 businesses have benefitted from rate relief and/or capital grants and 370 jobs have been created.
“Next week the Broadway is opening on November 5 so it really couldn’t be a more exciting time for the city.”
At this year’s conference there will be a special spotlight on the hospitality sector giving delegates the chance to experience what Bradford’s newest bars and eateries have to offer. Next week judges will be in Bradford to look at North Parade which is one of three finalists in the Great British High Street competition.”
The conference, which has grown in size and prestige since it started four years ago, enables local companies, big and small, to showcase their products and services, as well as bringing together businesses and organisations to discuss new ideas and develop opportunities.
Other major partners include Bradford Chamber of Commerce, Bradford College, Malik House Business Centres and L4NUK women’s networking group.
With the help of student volunteers, the conference will be shared online with a potential audience of over a million viewers.
