Bradford MP, David Ward MP has today published details of his Private Members Bill in Parliament calling for off road vehicles to be registered to assist the Police with dealing with anti-social behaviour across Bradford. David published the text of the Off-Road Vehicles (Registration) Bill 2014-15 in Parliament today which will make provision for the establishment of a compulsory registration scheme at the point of sale for all off-road motorcycles and quad bikes. Kirklees Council moves one step closer to introducing the Living Wage

Kirklees – Kirklees Council cabinet have agreed to refer a report introducing the living wage to a full council meeting in March before taking it to Personnel Committee for final agreement.  The Budget Council last week agreed to put aside funding to implement the change. The living wage, which would pay £7.88 per hour will mean a wage increase for the just over 2,000 people working in the council. Teenage pregnancy rates continue to fall in Bradford district

The rate of pregnancy amongst teenagers across the Bradford district has fallen again according the latest three year averages released by the government. Bradford has the lowest rate for conceptions amongst under-18s in West Yorkshire according to The Office for National Statistics. There was an average of 28.9 conceptions per 1,000 girls aged under-18 between 20011-2013 compared to 31.1 in 2010-12 and 34.7 in 2009-11.
