The big countdown to Bingley Music Live 2016 has begun with the launch of new ticket deals and, for the first time ever, on-site camping.
This year, organisers of the Bradford Council-run festival, held on 2-4 September, in Bingley’s Myrtle Park, are operating a two-tier ticketing system. This will apply to adult, teen and child weekend tickets. It means that the earlier people buy their tickets, the less they pay.
A limited number of Tier 1 weekend tickets (access to all three days) are now on sale. These are priced at £55 plus booking fee for adults (aged 16+); £49 plus booking fee for teen (12-15 years) tickets and £35 plus booking fee for child (3-11 years) tickets. Under 3s have free entry. Teens and children will also need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The Tier 2 weekend tickets will go on sale once all Tier 1 tickets have sold out.
Alternatively, festival goers can spread the cost by signing up to a payment plan. This is available for weekend tickets only. More details of the payment plan and the terms and conditions for all tickets are on the website – bingleymusiclive.com
For the first time ever, there will be the option of camping on the festival site, as well as the usual campsites. The meadow over the river at the rear of Myrtle Park has been set aside for campers). For camping tickets and information on the campsite see website.
Last year’s event was a runaway success and featured acts including James, Labrinth, Ash, Super Furry Animals and Ella Eyre. The first three headliners of this year’s BML are expected to be announced at the end of this month.
The organisers have also announced that as a tribute to David Bowie, the musician, actor and producer who died in January, this year’s fancy dress theme will be based on the star.
Cllr Imran Khan, Bradford Council’s Executive Member for Environment and Sport, said: “Following on from the success of last year’s event, people can expect more big names for 2016. The tiered ticket system and payment plan give people lots of choices for how to pay for this year’s event and ensures they get the best possible value for money.”
