Police investigating an assault in Bradford which left a man with fractured ribs and bruising have issued an image of a man they would like to identify.
The incident occurred in Grantham Road at about 10.28pm on 24 November, when a 28-year-old male was struck with what is described as a tyre wrench.
Detectives believe this could be linked to an incident about 15 minutes before when a dark coloured vehicle, possibly a Ford Focus, drove closely past the victim when he was crossing Laisteridge Lane, by the Baba Jaga shop.
The suspect is described as an Asian male of stocky build, who is believed to be in his twenties.
He was around six feet tall and wearing a green coloured parka-style coat with fur around the hood.
Detailed enquiries have been made by officers to trace the attacker, who is believed to have ran off towards Laisteridge Lane following the assault and may have gone towards Great Horton Road.
Anyone who recognises the suspect or who may have further information to assist the investigation is asked to contact Bradford District CID on 101, quoting crime reference 13170551060.
Information can also be reported anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
