E-Fit Appeal: Robbery at Cashpoint in Huddersfield

Police are releasing an E-Fit image of a man they would like to trace in relation to a robbery in Huddersfield.

efit_robbery_henry_street_huddsThe incident happened last week on Tuesday 26th April, at around 3.25pm, at the cashpoint near to the Old Hatte pub, as the 17-year-old female victim was withdrawing money, on the junction of Henry Street and Trinity Street.

The victim was approached by a male suspect, who demanded her purse and phone. He took the victim’s purse and walked off on Westgate and towards Trinity Street and McDonald’s.

The suspect is described as a black male, late 20s, around 6ft 4ins, muscular build, wearing a black hooded top with kangaroo pouch and hood up over his face, black jeans or chinos and black Nike Air Max trainers with a black tick. He also spoke with a local accent

Detective Constable Mick Cummings, of Kirklees CID, said: “We are releasing an image of the suspect we are trying to trace in connection with this incident last week and hope members of the public will be able to help us with our investigations.

“Anyone who recognises this image or saw him in the area on the day is asked to contact me at Kirklees CID via 101, quoting reference number 13160178579 or independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
