Hundreds gather outside City Hall for Candlelit Vigil

Over 300 people from all faiths and backgrounds gathered outside City Hall to pay their respects to the victims and families of the Peshawar school tragedy. IMG_1799_resized

Braving the stormy weather, children, women and men, including members of all political parties united in a sombre candlelit vigil yesterday at 7pm.

The terrible events in Peshawar shocked the world to the core after the Taliban attacked a school in Peshawar, Pakistan killing 141 students and teachers. Bradford council flew the Pakistan flag at half mast in Centenary Square and 141 balloons were released in memory of all those who lost their lives.

Schools and colleges across the district have been holding a minute’s silence yesterday and today in memory of the victims.
