Iconic Indian violinist on his way to Bradford

India’s violin icon, Dr L. Subramaniam will be performing live at the Pictureville Cinema with Picturehouse at National Science and Media Museum on Saturday 25th November.

A former childhood prodigy, Dr L. Subramaniam has produced and performed on close to two hundred recordings, collaborating with some of the greatest names in both Indian and Western music including Yehudi Menuhin, Stevie Wonder and Herbie Hancock. The founder/director of the Lakshminarayana Global Music Festival, the biggest global music festival in India, he has composed music for classical orchestras, ballets and award-winning feature films.

Accompanied by Dhulipala Srirama Murthy (Mridangam) and Tanmoy Bose (Tabla) this one-off event will see Dr L. Subramaniam present an evening of the very best classical Indian music. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see a living legend of world music live in Bradford.
